Places
SwitzerlandMobility routes are divided into suggested stages. In the choice of a stage destination, emphasis has been placed on easy access with public transport (hourly if possible) and on as comprehensive a service as possible (e.g. catering and accommodation). In exceptional cases it may only be a mountain hut if it involves a particularly attractive choice of route.
The places have brief descriptions of their principal features regarding history, current significance, places of interest and attractions. Where possible, these descriptions are supplemented with SwitzerlandMobility information on overnight accommodation, local non-motorized traffic offers and a link to the website of the local tourist organization.

Arrival
Please use public transport if you also wish to take your cycle with you using the accompanied bikes on trains service. The link «Arrival / Cycle transport» to the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) online timetable includes pre-setting «Carriage of bicycles required» and simplifies planning your trip. Please note that this timetable enquiry is only valid for Switzerland.
On «Timetable information», the link «Fare/Ticket» leading to the SBB ticket shop enables easy purchase of your tickets. You can also buy cycle day-tickets here.
The best trains with the accompanied bikes on trains service in the whole of Europe are found at www.bahn.de. On the homepage click on «Timetable - Tickets». Then enter your place of departure and destination, under «Means of transport» tick «Carriage of bicycles required» and then click on «Search connection». You will then receive the required information.
